Playoff Picture: Out of Playoffs
Team News: With the Nordiques officially out of the playoffs the focus now turns to the NHL 2006 Entry Draft. The Nordiques feel they made great strides this season with the talent they had.. and better things to come.. Right now though, the focus is playing the spoiler role for the team jockeying for position or trying to make the playoffs. 3 key games vs. Washington in the past week resulted in the Nordiques gaining 5 out of a possible 6 points against a team looking for a spot in the playoffs.
Nordiques have 5 games left in the season. And there will be no easy task. GM Barbosa does take notice that two of the games the Caps and the Panthers game could very well be critical to those teams needing to pick up some much needed points. But those will be the games they will be especially ready for.
