Current developements: The trade deadline saw the Flyers making no deals. Rumor has it that the Flyers were in talks with a few teams, but none of the deals helped enough in the short term to justify the damage to the team in the long term.
The Flyers are locked in a battle with the Rangers for 1st in the Esposito Divison with the NY Rangers. With the POW being so close the Flyers could finish anywhere from 1st to 6th. With 6 games to play excitement is in the air. The question seems to be if Kolzig will do better under the playoff pressure than Lalime.
