PLAYOFF CLINCHED.....
The Buffalo Sabres have clinched their 1st playoff berth in RSHL franchise history after recording their league lead 16th tie of the season. A small party broke out afterwards in San Jose, where many celebrities gathered to join in on the fiesta. Surprisingly, many wives and girlfriends of the San Jose Sharks organization attended the party. Notable absentees were anyone directly connected to respected GM Vito; however, this must have sent a clear message to the so called man-eating beasts. It would be simple, the Big Bisons must have moved to the top of the food-chain and have stacked their claim as "Yhe Beasts from the East." Despite ending in a tie, anytime a land mammal ties the greastest predator on earth and party's with their flock, it must be a clear win on the scoresheet.
Despite the recent successes of landing a playoff position, the team must consider their recent 3-4-3 record. This team has had its share of injuries, but really hasn't played constant since the all-star break.
However, what is going for this team is the combination of great goaltending from Turco and a state of equilibrium between veterans and youngsters. Veterans like Federov, Wesley, Lowry, McCarthy and Messier have all the experience needed to lead a young core which includes the likes of Lecavalier, Nash, Leopold. Ruutu, Reghyr, Sturm and Sykora.
However the season ends, one thing this organization can be proud of is that they are in the playoffs for the 1st time in franchise history and this team will bring it each and every game.
