Gentlemen....The best looking bastard in the RSHL has returned from an extended vacation to stir the pot up once again....Did you all miss me? I doubt it very much, yet it looks like your stuck with me anyway...so tough...just like me...

Where to begin...

Looks like my employers team might actually compete for a playoff spot this year...This team has added some nice veterans to an already young core...Specifically, Gary Roberts and Scott Stevens...These guys have leadership coming out of there ears and should keep the cry babies in tune...A la Rick Tocchet/Jagr scenario...I'm sure Mr. Lecavalier will be on his toes making sure that he is trying as hard as he can to contribute up to his potential...For those of you who don't remember the Tocchet/Jagr scenario...Let me refresh your memory...

Back in the day of the dynasty with the Pittsburgh Penguins...A young superstar by the name of Jaromir Jagr was making fun of a lower tiered player because he was making close to peanuts in salary...This was happening in a practice...Well...This caught Tocchet's eye...Tocchet made it a point to tell Mr. Jagr that if he continued to berate his teamate, he would have to deal with him....Well, Jagr's head was a bit too big for his shoulders at the time and he ignored Tocchet's demands and continued to do what he was doing...Tocchet then dropped his gloves right then and there and layed a beating down on Jagr...Jagr got the message the hard way...

The point of the story...Knowone is bigger than the game or his team...Without teamates...even the lesser skilled ones...the greats don't produce...Gretzky is where he is because he had great teamates...he'll be the first to admit that....

Now. to my favourite part of the article....The "Virtual Punch"...I'm salivating as we speak...

My Punch this week has to go to the knumbskulls working out of New York for there ridiculous spending spree on two average coaches at best...1.75 million for Lindy Ruff....1.95 million for Terry Murray...You know...it's moves like these that send a league into a Labour dispute...You guys just followed the same path as some of the dumbs one's in the NHL...Next thing you know the RSHL is going to go on strike...I don't know what I'd do if both hockey in the real and virtual world were on hold...A major depression would definetely come over me...then I'd LOSE IT knowing there are boneheads out there who don't know how to spend there money...thus driving salaries up all over the league...But you know what guys...I'll ease up on you a little...maybe the league is partially to blame...Maybe the way the rules are set up this league will in fact run into similar problems that the NHL is facing...We have already seen a dramatic increase in overall salary from the previous year till now...And if the this pattern of of overspending on guys who don't deserve it continues...what to do...Well that's for next week...
