Jack Adams award

This year we had 3 very deserving and different nominees. Alain Vigneault, Bill Barber and Kevin Constantine. Each one was nominated for different reasons.

Vigneault, very obvious why he was nominated, best record, President’s Trophy what more can you say.

Next Bill Barber. Bill was up for this award and while his line up was much improved with all the deals that were made, he still had to find a way to get everyone on the correct lines and to find the chemistry that would make it all work together. He led the Ducks back to the playoffs for the first time in a few years and was an integral part of their success.

Finally was Kevin Constantine. He got the most out of a team that did not have a lot of star power and amazingly amassed 42 wins. He implemented a defense first approach that really worked for his team and led this team into the playoffs and not just by a little bit.

All three of these gentlemen are very deserving of the award this year, but there can only be one winner. In what was a very close race, this year's Jack Adams award goes to Kevin Constantine. This was the closest of all the awards with Kevin receiving 11, Alain 10 and Bill 9 of the votes. It just goes to show how well coached teams are in the RSHL. Congrats to Kevin and the Whalers.
