Trading will not be officially open until after free agency. That means if you agree to a trade with a RFA and then someone else bids on then and it's accepted, it takes priority.

RSHL will only enforce deals that have been submitted through the site and accepted by both teams.... not just gentleman’s agreements

The post was mine (Leafs), but a couple of GM's are looking to move RFA's that have only been qualified. So for the actual new guys, be aware of the situation.
