After a consistent 7-2-1 run through June here the Bolts had some major injuries hit at the same time with Nico and Walman going out on injury. A couple of losses might feel like the end of the world but hanging on for a win against the Capitals kept things at 6-3-1. Sometimes those lottery teams are just what you need to get back to competitive. As the Bolts have officially clenched a playoff berth this year, look for them to start to rest some of their players who are worn out to prepare for the playoff time. Nico, and Jake are healthy enough to play but will continue to rest until they are back to 100%.
Another thread for the Lightning is whether they can hold onto 2nd place in the eastern conference. With the injuries and recent sag, the Bruins are right back in the hunt. GM Palmer seems to be more of a mind to get healthy and win the Statsny division primarily so the team enters the playoffs healthy and ready for a deep run.
Here's to a great rest of the season. Good luck out there everyone. Unless your playing the Lightning...
