Lightning Ho Hum Down the Stretch

The Bolts meandered to the end of the season going 5-4-1 in their last 10 while giving up a game to the Panthers to close out the season. Look for the entire organization to light the playoff fires and whip up the fanbase for some playoff hockey! The stadiums will be jumping and if your blood isn't pumping your probably dead!

In securing 2nd place in the eastern conference it looks like the Bolts have secured a fun series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs boast a solid defense with top notch goal tending but currently have some serious injuries to contend with. Led By Chris Kreider the Bolts will have their hands full in this series and are hoping to draw up a descent game plan to get to the next round. For the Lightning, their roster is starting the series completely healthy. At the end of the season GM Palmer mandated player rest over winning to make sure that all conditions looked "OK" In goal it looks like Binnington will be getting the nod as he has for most of the season. It is good to have Swayman back there just in case things seem to go south.

Another great surprise to end the season is seeing Filip Hronek get player of the week! With 2 goals and 7 assists the young defensemen shined to finish the season. Filip is a drafted prospect for the Lightning and it is always great to see young players develop and achieve for the organization. Hronek will finish the season with 53 points at a +13. Not bad for a defensemen and a key piece for the Bolts power play.
