A team doesn't have to be in perpetual rebuild mode like some teams. A retooling of a team can happen quick if done right. So far the leafs are far stronger and deeper than when they started.

Leafs d went from Carlson + Ellis as the keys to edler, McCabe, Cole, bouchard, boqvist. And greiss became talbot and bobrovsky. Not bad for 1 offseason
