There was some great action over the past seven days with some of the usual teams doing their thing but with also some pleasant surprises. I expect this week will be no different.
Monday November 23: vs

The Kraken after a slow start out of the gate have won two straight. Unfortunately for them they're in a division packed with contenders. I'm wondering if the move was worth it. The Flames meanwhile having improved their roster and dealt with their cap issues look to make some noise out west. I believe they'll get Kraken on Seattle.

Tuesday November 24: vs

The Rangers are looking to build for the future and hopefully the fruits of their labor blossom in the near future. Detroit with the addition Marc - Andre Fleury look to be a serious threat in the east. Three shutouts in four games is impressive but stumbling against Nashville only proved to be folly as he came back to shut out the Islanders. New beast of the east?

Sunday November 22: vs

The Penguins stood pat with their lineup but it's still a formidable one. It's funny how their name never comes up as a contender but they always seem to be in the mix. The Whalers are a tough nut to crack especially with one of the best goalie tandems in the league. Could they be a sleeper in the east?

Thursday November 26: vs

The Jets with losses to Seattle and Chicago look to straighten things out this week. With the likes of Mark Scheifele, Shea Weber, and Jordan Binnington there's no lack of talent and they should see themselves through. Unfortunately for them they run into the surprise of the early season in the Boston Bruins. The collection of third liners appear to be simply just working their you know whats off. This game may see them come back to earth however.

Tuesday November 24: vs

This should be a great game and an early season treat to watch. I know I'll be in the stands for this one.
The Canucks predictably sit atop the league sporting a 5 - 1 record. A blip against Calgary is the only blemish so far. I expect Leni's crew to be jacked up for this contest and get back to their winning ways. The Bluejackets currently sit third overall and for their part have played the Nucks very well. The champs look like they've picked up from last year and this test is a good one to see if they truly can repeat. Should be a ring a ding dong dandy!
