The Bluejackets have clinched the division title and sit second overall in the league. 9-1 and winners of three straight games, they're ready to make some noise come playoff time. The Stars have dimmed somewhat after rolling along they now are 5-4-1 in their past ten games but appear to be locking up their playoff appearance.

The Habs have been playing good hockey lately and despite losing their past two games, they have opened up a four point edge on the Devils for the final playoff position in the east. The Bruins seemed to have hit a pitfall going 1-6-3 in their past ten and are only six points up on the surging Canadiens.

Both of these teams have clinched playoff positions so what remains to be seen is if the Sabres can hold on for the Presidence trophy. I'm guessing they do.

This is the first of a home and home between these two teams. This should be a great game! The Sharks are 7-3 and are only a point behind the Bluejackets for second overall in the league. The Nordiques meanwhile are 8-1-1 and are looking good. Only two points behind the Sharks, this home and home could see them vault up the standings.
